What is Namibia2Germany?
Germany is facing an increasing shortage of skilled workers, and every year many German companies struggle to find qualified applicants for their excellent dual vocational training programmes. At the same time, young Namibians, many of whom speak German as a foreign language or even as their mother tongue, are looking for educational opportunities abroad.
Our new Namibia2Germany initiative aims to promote the German dual vocational training system as an attractive educational opportunity for young German-speaking Namibians. Starting in October 2023, selected programme participants from Namibia will receive coaching, training and mentorship throughout the preparation and application process for their professional training and vocational education in Germany. They will be introduced to suitable companies, guided through the application process, and receive intercultural support from Africademics.
