We have partnered with diakonis – Stiftung Diakonissenhaus, the largest provider of old age nursing and care services in Germany’s Lippe region. Diakonis is a Christian foundtion and was established in 1899. Over 1,500 people make use of their services on a daily basis, offered by 1,000 motivated and qualified employees.
We are excited to have them on board as a training partner for our Namibia2Germany programme – especially since our participant Catherine from Windhoek already started her training with Diakonis in September 2025!
Our Partnership
In collaboration with Diakonis, we offer participants of our Namibia2Germany programme the opportunity to pursue a 1-year or 3-year dual vocational training programme (‘Ausbildung’) and qualify as a certified nurse or nursing assistant. With this formal qualification, offered through the German ‘dual system’ of combined practical training and theory, graduates can pursue a professional career in Germany or in their home country.

About Diakonis
Diakonis celebrated its 120th anniversary in 2019 and offers a wide variety of care and nursing services in and around Lippe in the North of Germany. Their portfolio includes 9 old age residences, over 200 independent apartments for senior citizens, a hospice and mobile at-home care services. In addition, Diakonis has its own professional school for aspiring nurses and nursing assistant trainees.
