Please tell us a bit about yourself!
I’m a young lady with many interests, including social media content creation. I aspire to own my own business one day.
Which scholarships or fellowships have you received?
I received the DVM Bursary in 2014.
How did you experience the Africademics Scholarship Ambassador Programme?
My motivation to join the Scholarship Ambassador Programme was I want to gain more knowledge on how to successfully apply for scholarships. Among many other things, I learnt that the process shouldn’t be rushed and that one should plan to spend at least a year on the preparation and application.
Being a Scholarship Mentor for another student was a great experience, because I have given them not only a mentor but a friend to motivate them through the scholarship search.
Why would you recommend the Scholarship Ambassador Programme to others?
I would recommend this programme because the participants will feel encouraged to keep on searching and applying for scholarships despite the inevitable obstacles and setbacks they will experience.
