Please tell us a bit about yourself!
I am a motivated and adaptable individual, driven by a passion for learning and a commitment to personal growth. In my free time I enjoy listening to music, singing, cooking, baking and watching movies. In 10 years’ time I see myself holding a doctorate degree and working at the Ministry of Education headquarters in Malawi to help in good policy making and implementation.
Which scholarships or fellowships have you received?
In 2019 I was selected to participate in the Fulbright Teachers Exchange program to the United States, where I attended Appalachian State University. I am currently in receipt of the MEXT scholarship which funds a teachers training programme in Japan.
How did you experience the Africademics Scholarship Ambassador Programme?
My motivation to become an Africademics Scholarship Ambassador stems from my strong desire to promote educational opportunities and empower students in Africa to achieve their academic goals.
My personal highlight of the programme was the opportunity to connect with a diverse community of passionate individuals from across Africa, exchange knowledge and experiences, and gain a deeper understanding on how I can go about applying for scholarships.
Why would you recommend the Scholarship Ambassador Programme to others?
The program provides valuable learning and insights into effective advocacy, scholarship, and mentorship, and will enable you to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students in Africa.
