Today we would like to extend our sincere thanks to our long-standing team member, volunteer and career coach Thorsten Löffler!
Thorsten generously offers one-on-one personal career coaching sessions to our participants, supporting them as they navigate the challenging process of choosing the right ‘Ausbildung’ (dual vocational training) and prepare for their educational journey in Germany.
This year the coaching sessions took place online, but last year we had the opportunity to meet with our participants in person, not only for personal coaching sessions but also for an in-person group workshop at which took place at our partner school Deutsche Höhere Privatschule Windhoek (DHPS).
Based in Berlin, Germany, Thorsten offers career-focused coaching, with a strong emphasis on supporting migrants and queer persons navigating career transitions. He is AZAV-certified, which means coachees who qualify can access free coaching sessions through the German Federal Employment Agency or the Job Centre.
Thorsten also loves working with international coaching clients from anywhere in the world, and especially in Southern Africa. He lived in South Africa for many years and still maintains close ties with the African continent through various professional and personal projects.
