We recently hosted a joint webinar with Mr Steffen Ott, Regional Manager at BARMER, to help our Namibia2Germany participants and our Africademics community members in Namibia prepare for the upcoming Career Fair in Windhoek!
The webinar took place on 25 February and was attended by Namibia2Germany participants, as well as members of the broader Africademics community in Namibia. The aim of the event was to help the participants understand what companies expect from applicants who attend career fairs, and to ensure they are well-prepared when attending recruitment events.
The following topics were discussed in the webinar:
- How to prepare for attending a career fair or recruitment event
- How to network with companies and organizations on site
- How to dress and present yourself professionally
- How to prepare your application documents (CV, motivation letter, certificates, cover page)
- Additional tips, tricks and practical advice from a company perspective
