Please tell us a bit about yourself!
I am motivated intrinsically to aspire for success and lead others to same. I am always ready to work under pressure. In my free time I enjoy reading and going for walks. In 10 years’ time I see myself in reaching higher pedestal of academia by completing my PhD and a postdoctoral programme, as well working with organizations like the UN or the World Bank.
Which scholarships or fellowships have you received?
I was awarded the IDEL Scholarship for my current studies in India in July 2022, as well as the Microsoft4Afrika Scholarship to the United States in 2014.
How did you experience the Africademics Scholarship Ambassador Programme?
I applied for the programme because I saw it as an opportunity to diffuse innovation and because I am motivated to assist others to gain the best in their educational and academic pursuits. The Positive Psychology course we did as part of our training was superb since I learned about the various steps in reducing stress.
Overall, my experience has been very fruitful and successful since I have guided my mentee in obtaining the required scholarship. My mentee was also very happy about the Positive Psychology course introduced to her and highly positive of gaining the required scholarship. Currently we are looking into various scholarships which have been identified and are in the process of application.
Why would you recommend the Scholarship Ambassador Programme to others?
This is an exceptional program to develop yourself as a mentor and assist individuals ready to make an impact!
