I am an early-career scientist, a well-motivated person looking forward to establish myself in a long and exciting project/network. I feel comfortable in an international environment, working without any restrictions of race, religion or gender. I am hard-working, open to criticism and interact easily with others. I enjoy watching debates (scientific, cultural and political) on TV, and my hobbies include football, volleyball, tennis, classical dancing, music and reading.
Which scholarships and fellowships have you received?
I was very fortunate to have received many different scholarships and fellowships during my studies and my academic career. In 2016 I received the 3-year SCAC (Service de Cooperation et d’Action Culturelle ) France Fellowship from the French Embassy in Cameroon, which enabled me to study at the University of Nantes for 14 months.
In 2021 I was awarded the CEISAM Laboratory Grant which funded a 5-month internship in the CEISAM Laboratory, University of Nantes, France. In the same year I also successfully applied for the YaBiNaPA DAAD Postdoctoral Fellowship, awarded at the University of Yaounde I in Cameroon for a period of two years.
Most recently, I received the Coimbra Group Fellowship to conduct research in the Department of Analytical Chemistry at the University of Granada in Spain, as well as the Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship which funds my current research programme with the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM) in Berlin, Germany.
How did you experience the Africademics Scholarship Ambassador Programme?
I applied for the programme because I like to share information and guide others in their educational and professional journey. Being able to contribute to the success of others improves my own well-being and gives me a sense of accomplishment. I really enjoyed the programme because the content and online workshops are very well prepared and the experience gained was significant.
