The Namibia2Germany and SA2Germany programmes aim to promote the German ‘Ausbildung’ (dual vocational training) system as an attractive educational opportunity for young German-speaking Namibians and South Africans. The next round of the programme will start in July 2024, and applications will be open from 15 February to 15 May 2024.
Successful applicants will go through a 12-month coaching, training and mentorship programme which will supports them throughout the preparation and application process for their 3-year Ausbildung in Germany. After having completed the 12-month preparation phase, participants will start their Ausbildung in Germany in September 2025.

Requirements for participation
In order to participate in the 2024/25 round of the Namibia2Germany programme or the SA2Germany programme, you need to meet the following requirements:
- German: You can speak German at intermediate or advanced level (B1 or higher).
- Language certificate: Applicants must have a B1 (or higher) German language certificate issued by the Goethe Institute (or a Deutsches Sprachdiplom I or II), or obtain it no later than 31 May 2024.
- Age: You are at least 18 years old, or you will turn 18 before 30 April 2024.
- School: You have already completed high school or you will matriculate in 2024.
- Grades: You have achieved an average of at least 60% (C) in your final year of high school.
- Passport: You have a valid passport or have already applied for your passport.
- Residence: You are a citizen or permanent resident of Namibia or South Africa (applicants with dual nationality are welcome to apply as well).
