We did it!!! Last night Africademics was awarded the Deutscher Engagementpreis, Germany’s most prestigious award for social projects and initiatives! We are so proud of how far we’ve come and to see our work being recognized and acknowledged at such a high level.
A massive thank you to all our Africademics Scholarship Ambassadors, many of whom joined us via the live stream last night. This would not have been possible without you and the award is testimony to your achievements and dedication!
Another special thank you goes to all the wonderful individuals and organizations that have been a part of our journey thus far, including the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes, startsocial e.V. and our coaches Michael Perscheid and Elena Butz, the Deutsche Stiftung für Engagement und Ehrenamt, ESB Business School, ESB Reutlingen Alumni e.V., University of Cape Town, Rachel Strohm, Future Females, and so many others.
Last but not least, thank you Sharon Azubuike-Osu for representing our Ambassadors at the awards event, the sponsors of the award, including Deutsche Bahn Stiftung, Deutsche Fernsehlotterie, Bundesministerium für Familie, Senioren, Frauen und Jugend, Bündnis für Gemeinnützigkeit, Bundesverband Deutscher Stiftungen, and everyone else who played a role in organizing this wonderful event.
What a way to end 2022 and we can’t wait to see what 2023 will bring!
